    Hi

I’m new to the site and am looking for a bit of help and direction.

I’m an artist living in Brighton UK looking to develop and present an interactive exhibition.

In short, each person entering the exhibition would take a photo via a webcam. This photo would then be projected onto the wall of the exhibition space, along with other photos taken by others. (each photo would occupy its own square within a grid of say 50 squares)

The photos need to move to random squares at intervals of say 30 seconds before being stored to the hard drive after say 5 mins.

    I hope that makes sense.

My knowledge of programming is very, very limited so I understand that this project is going to involve a very steep learning curve and take some time to accomplish!

Can anybody point me in the right direction as to which programming language I could use to achieve this? Does anybody know of an existing programme that can do this? Am I suffering from delusions of grandeur?

Any information would be extremely helpful.

    Thank you.

    Jamie

OK thanks. That makes things a bit clearer.
