The big "G" has recently revealed their new features " Google Instant". It is really a cool feature. This very feature again gives Google edge over other search engines. Now the question comes what is Google Instant? Google has started this feature to save internet time. With this features installed a searcher is kept giving results as he keeps typing on the search bar without hitting the search button. Here the search engine tries to predict the keyword even before typing is done and give you result right in front of your eyes. Google's researchers say it will save 2-5 second per search and 11 internet hours per second and 3.5 billion seconds per year if every body uses this feature. Right now it is available only on Google.com. They have said in their blog that they will soon make this facility available on their other regional domains. From seo point of view it is going to be an interesting time. Though this features won't effect on ranking. Now that the search has gone more intelligent and as a searcher you get result even before your typing is done I think people will roll over their eyes on first 3 result. As they always has less time while seeing the results. This might lead to a more intense competition for ranking.

Yes this is great move by Google. Google instant saves time of their users. The search-as-you-type has been already in place for a while. I mean that Google already tried to autofill your search requests to do your search easier. This is just a little step forward.
