    Hi,

I have come4experts, again, to get help with links (ln command) in unix.

I do know how to create links, i usually use soft links as follows:
    ln -s pathname shortcut

For this link to work, I have to be in the directory the link was created in...
But what I want to know is if there is a way of creating a global link. What I mean by global is the link being able to work from any directory iam in.

Thanks for the help in advance.

    happy unixing....
