Hello! I'm Mitchell. Brand new to this forum and even more new to anything "programming." Looks like a really good group here with a lot of talent. I think as I go thru some of these books, I'll have questions and I know where I'll be! I'll be lurking a lot but wanted to introduce myself. Oh... took over this guy's job who had some C++ and Powershell? Before that, I've been a Windows guy and the extent of my programming is using the GUI to make a macro.
Thank you. So much reading to do! (so little time). I'm sure it's here somewhere... so excuse my laziness. But what would you recommend as the best simple book for a total newbie to read to jump start their C++ learning? Any recommendations? Lots of high ratings on Amazon but I don't know which book(s) I should get first that give a beginner like me a quick start.
