I'm an old c programmer stuck in the .NET world. The first 15 years of my career I coded in c. Then in 98 I decided I needed to jump on the dot com bandwagon, looking for some of that big buck venture capital to make my fortune. Alas, that didn't work out, the dot com's went bust and I was left in ASP/SQL web development world eeking out a living. Someday I'll get lucky and get back to coding on C/C++ for a living, but for now it's just a hobby, what I do when I'm home and (unfortunately) not getting paid. Don't know why I haven't discovered this place before... Michael
Hi and welcome to the forum and as of now C-C++ coding is also just a hobby for me and I hardly have the time to open the compiler as well but as and when I get chance I try doing it.
Hi Michael. so you were a real live programmer? I bet it was glorious, it was amazing. I bet you were the man! Sorry about the gamble you took, though. I bet you'll get back in it. Whats an ASQ/SPL? I'm Aidan. New to everything C. No idea what I'm doing. Trying to get down the syntax. I'm like vomitting words onto my compiler. and trying to get it to write something nice. and programmy.
