Operating Systems + Hardware Components?
 

Basically I am looking for information about: CPU, Memory(main and backing) and I/O devices and for what purpose the Operating System uses each hardware component.

I am also looking for information on which program services are offered by an Operating System

If anyone could help me on the above, that would be very helpful to me.
