What are your favorite news sources about SEO?
 

From what sources do you get information about the changes in SEO? What kind of information you can trust completely and do not check?

Anyway, what resources do you use in your work?
Just wondering and would like to learn something new))

mostly we are following the seomoz.org we hope they giving good information and when the search engine algorithm updates and we are following some yahoo answers.

I just search for Google update and see what comes up. But in many cases I get the news from one of the forums, then I investigate the source.

I often go to the blog of matt cutts to look for the news about seo and google

Funnily enough, although quotes and videos etc crop up in different places from Matt Cutts quite frequently, there isn't actually very much in his own blog. For instance, if you go there now and look in the category Google/SEO (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/type/googleseo/) the latest entry was on January 11. So there is nothing there about the February Panda update or about his recent comment on over-optimizing.

I also think that visiting his blog on regular basis is necessary but still he does not reveal everything in detail and keep all of us guessing for different meanings of his statements.:confused:

I think that what is relevant here is something that was said in the opening post, i.e.
"What kind of information you can trust completely and do not check?"
The problem with most sources is that they are secondary sources and at best they can only be experienced opinion.
Google is deliberately vague in its announcements, so that sources are left to speculate on what they may or may not mean, so "news" is usually a copy of what they have said (which is what I meant by being secondary sources) followed by an analysis.
Even when there seems to be general agreement over something, it doesn't mean it is correct.
I find it interesting sometimes to look at forum threads and articles from some years back, and to compare what the analyses were of what was going to happen with what has actually transpired. Just to give one example of something I was looking at yesterday, 5 years ago there were strong rumours that PR would be removed from the Google toolbar, and 3 years ago (from a Google spokesman) that it could be renamed.
So I don't believe there is any information from any source that can be trusted completely and not checked. As I mentioned in an earlier posting, if I find something I investigate it. If I want further opinion I will find a forum thread or start one. Even then, it is really up to individuals to form their own opinion, because there is very little SEO news that can be easily established as being factual.

The very first reply suggested SEOmoz. In terms of the question, are you saying that you accept everything that SEOmoz says?
In fairness I would read their comments and give some credibility to them, but I wouldn't accept them without checking elsewhere. Would you?

Forums have always been a great avenue to gather information and apart from it Google blogs updates everything on SEO periodically.
