there are some types of C compiler out there, like boreland C, turbo C etc.
which one is better.. more compatible. user friendly. it doesn't matter that in GUI or in DOS based.

Define "better". And compatible with what? You mentioned Turbo C, which is a seriously ancient compiler; I think Noah used it on the Ark.

For Windows programming you can't beat Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.

proabbly if it is windows based thing nothing to beat up MSVC :DD
but you have some addition as well those include the dev C++ and the code:: builder

if you wont mind about the platform then probably i would like to use the GCC or g++ compilers
you got them with linux distros

if you wanna run them in windows you;ll need somwthing like mingw

more compatible??? see still for c/c++ turbo c is the complier used , therer are many free IDE compliers are available

My sugesstion is to go with Dev C++ where you can do with MVD 2010

I would never use the MSVC, it sucks much ! Do not use it ! Better use Dev-C++

you can never say that therez a better coding environment than MSVC because of its immense support from the inteliisense
it speeds up work
