VB in MS ACCESS

i am not sure if this is the right forum, i will try all the same. I developed a simple application in access 2007. I have a login screen which works fine and a switchboard with 3 buttons, update, add and reports. I have a table users that has 3 fields, username, password and group field tht is boolean. There is no priviledges associated with users other than just to login onto the system. What i am now trying to do is implement a simple security measure by writing a VB code that checks the value in the group field of the user table for the user thats logged in and depending on tht value the report button on the switchboard is either enabled or deactivated e.g. if group value for user1 is 0 the report button is disabled.
