Data are read and written in this form to reduce the gap between processing speed and data transfer speeds! This is also a unit for transfer of data between the disk pack and the main memory and larger is its value, the higher is the transfer rate!
What is it? Means about which I' talking? |

Are you mentioning about the "disk buffer" ?
The disk buffer closes the gap between the processing speed and data transfer rate. |
