x = 12
y = 9 xy = 3 x+y = 21 xy = 108 so xy:x+y:xy => 1:7:36

From the question we can say,
xy x+y xy  =  =  = r 1 7 36 From this we get three equations, x  y = r x + y = 7r xy = 36r By solving these equations, we get the value of r=3, x=12, and y=9.

In the previous post, the first equation should be like this:
[(xy)/1] = [(x+y)/7] = [(xy)/36] = r It didn't display correctly, so I am reposting that equation here.
