wordpress help
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a wordpress blog on my site and I changed the directory name before changing it in my wordpress admin. I followed all the steps on wordpress support - I changed the wp-config.php, functions.php, and the url in the database. I even deleted the blog and re-uploaded it. Nothing worked. When I type in my url, it takes me back to the homepage of my site. Any advice is greatly appreciated. |
Re: wordpress help
Try Login to your wp-admin and see if it works. If not you have to edit the wp-options table to change the blog url

Re: wordpress help
Thanks for the quick response! I get to the login page and when i log in, my address bar reads /wp-admin but it's the home page of my site. I changed the url in the database to the blog url already.

Re: wordpress help
No, sorry for the confusion. I have a website, and blog at this url: my-site.com/blog. When I log into wp-login, it redirects me back to my-site.com, but the url in the address bar still reads my-site.com/blog. When I go directly to the url my-site.com/blog, it stays on my-site.com, but the address bar still reads what I typed in. I hope this is clear.

Re: wordpress help
There are 2 options in wordpress which can be found at wp-admin/options-general.php
Blog URL and Wordpress URL. Make sure both are same. |
Re: wordpress help
Yes, I am way past that, did that ages ago:)
I tried everything simple and now I'm up to more complicated. I think I will just hire someone. Thanks for your help. |
