OPC client with Visual C++ 2008

Hi all,

I have the following situation:
I created a program with Visual C++ 2008 express which receive and interpret data from a µC. Now I want to send this data from the Visual C++ program to an OPC server. Both programs run on the same PC. Therefore I need a connection between my programm and the server. So I think I have to integrate an OPC "client" in my program. But until now I have no Idea how to realize or how to start this. Perhaps anyone has some hints for me.

Thanks for any help

Daniel

Yes, I googled OPC, but there are several possibilities. Which particular expansion of OPC are you interested in? Remember I can't read your mind.

@ xpi0t0s: Thanks for your reply. Sorry I couldn`t iclude a link to my last post. OLE for Process Control is the old expansion. But what I read so far, is that today no expension is used for "OPC" server.

The best introduction to OPC I found is located here:
codeproject.com/KB/COM/opctechnology.aspx

And another source is the "OPC Foundation"

opcfoundation.org/Default.aspx/01_about/01_whatis.asp?MID=AboutOPC

If I added "w"w"w" I couldn`t post my reply. So you have to insert if of course.
Why I can`t insert links?
