Re: Sum of Prime Numbers | 3 Aug 2009
The correct answer should be "-infinity".
Because there exist prime numbers < 0. Yeah .. don't be surprised. Just google "negative prime numbers". You gets lots of results refer any one :) So, sum of all prime numbers = - infinity, because there are infinitely many primes less than 0 ;) If my answer will not b accepted, I demand a clarification + a convincing argument to why my answer was rejected. |
Re: Sum of Prime Numbers | 3 Aug 2009
i was just thinking of -ve prime numbers :p

Re: Sum of Prime Numbers | 3 Aug 2009
I do not consider -ve numbers as prime ( But I open to debate here )

And, you didn't consider anything specfic in the question. As I mentioned, I need a convincing argument against my views. And, this one was far from that. If you have a very strong reason like why -ve primes don't exist ... post them here / the debate thread :) Perhaps, this is the first controversial question posted after PriyaD handed over the responsibility to shabbir :p |
Re: Sum of Prime Numbers | 3 Aug 2009
check out the reply i made in the debate thread....it may give some argument as to why it may/may not exist....
