A kid will turn become 10 years old next, year but he was 7 years old on the day before yesterday. How will that be possible?

That kid's birthday in on 31st December and today is 1st January [As per the question]
So that kid was 7 day-before-yesterday [30th December of last year]
He became 8 yesterday [31st December of last year]
He will become 9 this year [31st December of this year]
And 10 by next year [31st December of next year]
