About ports and buffer
 

Hi,
i just made a piano program. it reads the value from ports. and sound(), nosound() exist. But can you tell me about ports and buffer? what do they do briefly?

Yeah,
but you can use ReadFile and CreateFile apis for that in win32 enviornment
