Hello everyone!
 

New to the forums...

Looking for some advice on where to start learning some coding.

I heard learning C, C++, or Python was a good place to start.

But I honestly dont know what the 1st step I should take is... or how to do it for that matter.

Any help, advice, or even a economicly priced book would be great. Online tututorials, you name it.

Get some good book on the programming language you wish to start on and start reading and practicing some examples of it.

Unfortunatly my local community college stopped offering programming colleges, and becuase I havnt been able to aquire a job, I can't even look at getting into the local or nearby universities.

So for the time being, I'm going to teach myself. Acording to my proffesor however, they will start introducing people into programming to see if intrest grows in the field agian.. If it does, the follow semester after that one, they should have more advanced courses.

My proffesor knowing my prediciment, has agreed to help me with getting started. He said that this coming wensday he'll be sharing a book with me on Visual Basic and told me to go through it and ask him anything wherever I get stuck. From there he said that we'll move on to another language.

I would suggest you visiting some Library in your area or getting a book from some shop rather than depending on someone else

Ofcourse he did offer, and its not like I'm going to say no.

Well a book store is out of the question... although going to the local library should work. I think ill drop by there tommorow after class.
