Difference between \ and /

    When do we use backslash and when do we use forward slash.Are there any associated implications.

    Depends on where you are using. Are you using on path or in programming?

    It depends. Windows uses '\' and *nix uses '/' for path. In programming, windows sometimes uses '\\'. I'm unaware of the reason though.

    The use of forward and backslash depends on where you are using it. Windows uses backslashes for paths, while everything else seems to use forward slashes. In browser URL, we use forward slash. For writing the single line comments in the java, C# and C++, we use //.
