CALL FOR PAPERS AND SPECIAL SESSION PROPOSALS
    ************************************************

Following the successes of previous events, the fifth International Symposium on Neural
Networks (ISNN 2008) will be held in Beijing, which has been the capital of China for
about five hundred years, and is now one of the largest international cities in the world.
As the cultural, educational and high-tech centre of the nation, Beijing
has many world-class conference facilities, communication infrastructures,
and hotels, and has successfully hosted many important international conferences.
In addition, Beijing is an ideal place for sightseeing. Her rich culture and historical
attractions such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, and the
Temple of Heaven will provide vistors with unique opportunities for social activities.
Besides, the 29th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing in 2008 and the participants may visit
the Olympic venues. The participants may also enjoy Peking operas, beautiful sceneriess, Chinese cuisine,
and the hospitality of Beijing citizens.

Prospective authors are invited to contribute high-quality papers to ISNN 2008. In addition,
ISNN 2008 Program Committees solicit proposals for special sessions within the technical
scopes of the symposium. Special sessions, to be organized by internationally recognized
experts, aim to bring together researchers in special focused topics. Papers submitted for
special sessions are to be peer-reviewed with the same criteria used for the contributed
papers. Researchers interested in organizing special sessions are invited to submit formal
proposals to ISNN2008. A special session proposal should include the session title, a
brief description of the scope and motivation, names, contact information and brief
biographical information on the prospective organizers.
