whenever I set wallpaper for windows xp, it disappears after sometime. this makes the destop background blank. I do see Ask for microsoft genuiene software thing on the screen but I dont know whether it is the cause.
can any one help me make my destop pictures stay for ever.

Have you installed any software of changer wallpaper if yes then unistall it.Or perhaps your setting with your wallpaper has been change,It can be changed through regedit(registry) setting.

I didn't install any wallpaper changer. You know regedit is complex, so how can I reset the changes using regedit.

If you are not sure about regedit it is better not to do editing it.
