Hi every1,
recently i was using hping, and came across 'ttl values'. First I read about ttl, and i was wondering that i read somewhere 'the ttl value of an IP indicates the corresponding operating system'.
Is it true?
If yes HOW?
any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes, OS is identifiable by their TTLs but not definitive 'cause it can be changed, see this chart http://members.cox.net/~ndav1/self_p...TL_values.html
