As some of you may or may not know, i am trying to run a programming site SpoCore.com, and i just made my own custom layout. I previously used premade layouts. I would like to hear what people think of it.

hmmm it is. What do you think it needs to be less "plain". I am thinking maybe i might add some granite affect to the top or something.

That would not make it look pro. It looks more like a newbie rather than a pro site.

Wondering, might it look better if i added a simple striped background. I am thinking about doing this, but i am worried that it might impact readability. What do you think about adding it.

I don't see much of a difference other than blue to green with some cosmetic changes.

Good work but i would say your should change your background color and font color because that combination not looking good so need to be change your color sachem...
