    title tags
    description tags
    alt-tags (this is use when describing images)
    keywords
    meta tags
    h1/h2 tags (headings)

    Agree these are some important elements of on-page SEO...but still you need to get some quality backlinks to make your on-page optimization efforts count. just my 2 cents.
