Google's latest update (24 April), originally referred to as webspam and believed to be the much-talked-about over optimization remedy, has now been given a name - Penguin.

What are your thoughts on this update, and how have you been affected by it?

It is good that Penguin is here among us by now. My site did not get affected by this which makes me happy and strong as i was not doing anything spammy. Yesterday i come across a article which states that Google will change its ranking system and the result will be based on complete information but not on keyword ranks.

What can you figure out with this. I think Google will focus more on Ads and +1 from sometime. Have a look.

The article doesn't quite say that, because it actually says:
"Google isn't replacing its current keyword-search system". But there is obviously more to come.
However, this was dated almost 6 weeks ago and there have been other updates since then as well.
Although there does seem some alarm about the way results are now being presented, that is to be expected and I think that it may be a little time before the full effects are seen.

The link I gave in the opening post explains what Penguin is about. Just to clarify my question and to avoid further definitions of Penguin, what I am looking for is personal experiences, i.e. what do you think about it and how did it affect your webite?

Completely wrong. Penguin is more focused on link and not on content.

Yes, and I should have made that point in my post rather than just referring to the link I had given.
It is a problem that I see on many threads on different forums, i.e. that when asked a question about something, instead of trying to answer it some people choose instead to give a definition of the subject of the question, and it is often inaccurate.

Actually every SEO forum has this issue and unless it is very well moderated like SitePoint / highrankings, you would see lot of crap in SEO forums.
