How to optimize a dynamic website? Especially what should be the strategies regarding URL? Does URL Rewriting helps?

URL rewriting does not make a lot of difference when it comes to outputting unless you have complicated code inside

I am not using url rewritting ... google put some plently on url rewritting .... better optimize your site on keywords and on tags ...
