Laptop (asus f5rl) boots very slow

For about one week my laptop (asus f5rl) boots very slow (2 min). I'm using windows XP sp2. The problem occure from nowhere and after reinstall SO the problem persists. I've installed a Linux distribution as well and the laptop boot normaly. What is the problem?

well... as was i saying... I have reinstalled windows ... and the system was clean, no startup programs. But the problem still ocures

You have re-installed windows which is actually a non event when you are working on booting speed and other programs. Re-install Windows is actually works only when repairing for any loss of system files and is complete crap otherwise.

Instead if you want you should install windows after formatting or else you need to see what all process start with Windows and see which one takes the time.

Because I haven't found an edit button i shall write on other post. When i say i've reinstalled windows i mean: clear all partitions, repartition, format partitions, install windows and drivers.

It means that you may need to see if things are installed rightly like all the drivers and if they are it is either time to upgrade hardware or call a technician
