http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=HOWTO:_Skype_for_Linux hope it helps, I need to know what flavour of linux you have.

type this in your terminal and see what you get:

    sudo apt-cache search skype

    or

    sudo yum-cache search skype

    to install it:

    apt-get install skype

    or

    yum-get install skype

Yum is if you have fedora, apt is for ubuntu or kubuntu.

    Hope it helped.
