I have a forum that is very very small. How do I get people to visit it?

Can you put the url to your forum so that we can have a look but look for some general promotion tips.

Forums are really difficult to promote and the most important factor in it should be
1. Constantly build up the content.
2. Ask your friends to get involved and make the forum look active.
3. Organize some contests.
4. Exchange posts with some other forums members.
5. Get some good relevant links.

When I visited the forum I saw only a section called Guests. If I want to add some topics where should I be doing that.

Maybe you have to llog in first.

There are 2 disadvantages of it
If I dont see any topics I will not register and login.
Bots will not see any of your topics and you will never rank well in search engines.

Maybe there should be more gust stuff? Maybe I should spam up the guest stuff so bots will rank me better?

Guest stuff can always be more but the spam will not rank well. The ranking content is always the quality one.
