I wasnt sure where this thread would go so if its in the wrong place, please dont criticize me for it. But anyways, im just curious, does anybody know if a site like Myspace could ever be hacked to the extent where it would have to get shutdown? For example, someone hacks into myspace servers and erases everything on the servers. Is that possible? please reply^^ thanks

The server can come to DDoS Attacks and that can happen that HDD can crash. Search for DDoS here and you will see what its all about.

MSN which is bigger than MySpace was made to go offline for majority of server with DDoS attack

Thats not the aim. We need to know a lot of things but does not mean you need to test them as well. You need to know cyanide is dangerous and you should avoid it but you don't need to test and see if it actually works or not.
