Hey.
Let's just say, that i lost my password for my wireless internet connection, and wanted to get it back, by "hacking" it.
What program should i use?
I tried Airsnort, but it doesnt seem to work with my network card.
Here i have some system information, if necessary:

Microsoft Windows XP MCE 2002 SP2
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
Intel Core 2 CPU T5500 @ 1.66GHz
2.00 GB RAM

I hope you will respond to this.

And please, if you can, find or write a quick tutorial to the program if it takes more than common knowledge to do, since I had a lot of trouble with Airsnort.

Oh, if you don't mind, I'd like to add a question too. I've been watching videos on youtube on how to hack WPA. Do I need a certain kind of wireless card in order to crack WPA codes?

I will suggest that you use a wireless card with an Atheros Chipset, prefrebly PCMCIA, and if you have a card with an intel chipset then you can use linux to make things simpler. The program you want is aircrack-ng for linux and aircrack 2.41 for windows. Then if you use aircrack for windows you will have to download the atheros driver to enable sniffing, Linux only needs the madwifi driver and a patch if you want to crack WPA, then after you have sniffed alot of packets you can crack the WEP, and for WPA you will use a Deauth attack on the target network while sniffing. My website is almost done and I have tutorials on there and the tools and drivers all to download with one click, no ads or nothing, straight forward one click. You can check it out at http://www.spoonwizard.110mb.com and but remember that that website is still under development and I only threw on a few pages to test it, but you can download cian and abel from there which can also explain more to you and crack wireless for windows, all you need is a AirPcap USB wireless adapter which you can buy online. My site will be done soon.

That AirPcap USB adapter is... £125...

Yes the free method but for that you will have to wait till my site is ready, or google aircrack and get that, It comes with a HTML help file.

hey, i might be going on a very long flight from atlanta to ecuador, it's about 12 hours. the internet costs on a plane are ******* outrageous. how can i use my mac to tap into their wireless network to be able to use it?
-P.S. i really need some help, this seems a lot harder to hack than a regular network, i really need some pointers.
