How to get the default Web Browser

I am facing little problem,i just want to know how to get the default webbrowser of computer though programming.
can any one help pls

Default Web browser settings is stored in registry and you can find the registry entry for your default browser at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\StartMenuInter net\
Default value indicate the default web browser.

Do you mean other OS like Linux, or other versions of windows like 98, 2000

yeah,sorry i am asking about other version of windows like 98,2000

one more problem i register in globaldeveloper.net,but i hasn't get any email verification mail from your go4expert sister site

I dont use 98 anymore but I will try to find out at what versions of Win its stored at what location in registry.
