Connection of D2K and Oracle 9i

    I have loaded the D2K as well as the Oracle 9i to my Windows 2000 server OS.But whenever i am trying to connect the database through D2K it is not being possible.after giving the user name password with database name it is writing some "Tns error".Can anyone help me out with the process of connection??

    Are you able to connect using the oracle SQL prompt.

    Try the following

    First, did you start the listener in database server?
    Goto controlPanel/services and start the listener of the concerned sid (databse).

    From the client your installing forms, use net8 easy config asstnt to create services or connectstrings.

    Check the availability of listener from comand prompt using tnsping <yourServiceName>

    Please follow the steps as mentioned by Shabbir. The problem is that you haven't configured the net8 client.

    Hi
    How do i connect Oracle9i through D2K on my pc?Suppose i have installed WinXp_sp2 and
    Oracle 9i on it .Whenever i am trying to install D2K form 5 ,getting error.pls help me in detail .Is there any version specification for D2K on oracle9i?
