If you just want to change the exe file icon,use Reshack. However i must tell you,that once you encryptit,it wont work.

See the thread you are referring have code attached. It uses the APIs like UpdateResource and others which you can use in the same way in VB as well

Downloading the working example will not help you to get the APIs used.
Also Change Icon of EXE file through code extracting it from other EXE file has all the code and API explained and you need to use them the same way in VB. Also the code in the article explains in comments where it loads the exe. where it changes the icon and other stuff. |
