array storing capacity

    How could i know the total elements an array can store???
    whether it depends on the datatype or os(32bit or 64bit)???

    It will depend upon the both...let me explain it clearly...array size depends upon the capability to index...the indexing is done with the help of integer...integer size depends upon the OS (8 or 32 or 64)...
