    This was part of Google Analytics for quite some time now. Looks like you have realized it now.

    Yes, But this would be surely help high bounce rated websites. Somehow they mange it.

    Nice move by Google. Whether it's late..

    No it is not late by Google and events are always part of GA that controlled bounce rates and you possibly realized it now.
