As we know the level of normalization is 1st ,..BCNF,...5th NF; May anyone tell me why the name BCNF is given in place of 6th/7th NF or any nth NF ?

BCNF is Boyce-Codd Normal form and so the name BCNF is given. Its a special case of normal form which does not occur in all situation as the cases of 1st - 5th ...NF occurs.
