Moderators can come across as having something of an ego because of the position they are in, and maybe Saswat does have a bit of one, but I don't think he's unreasonably egotistical. Geeks often have something of an ego too so a geek who's a moderator is doubly afflicted. Anyway if a mod has an ego so what? It's a good reason to tread carefully and make sure you don't provoke his wrath.
