Well, it means joining by weaving. So I'm complecting a garment. I'm a complecting the sleeve onto my jacket. It's not commonly used, and it becomes completing, competing, compting which I guess is a word.

So these are all legitimate Scrabble words, and then it goes on, compting, comping, coping, oping, which I did hear of before, ping, pig, pi, and I.

Well, naimish has given the largest possible word.

Simply googling the question takes us to a blog-page which has a bruter for this question. And as the buter finds out, the largest word is complecting.

But, I think this thread should stay open for 24hours (as per the rules) -- May be someone will find a 12-letter one.
