Some of you may remember the "Blue Frog" incident not too long ago. Blue Frog provided service which enabled you to easily report your spam to the authorities, as well as to the spammer's ISP and hosting provider. (helping to counteract spam instead of just filtering it) However, the spammers were very upset and DOSed BlueFrog until they had to call it quits. Honestly, I miss Blue Frog and sniff every time I see my spam folder's count going up. So, I'm starting a Blue Frog replacement. This will be an open source Firefox extension will be a copycat of BlueFrog's extension, except that it will be autonomous (it will be able to function without the need of a central server). Would anyone be interested in helping? Anyone who isn't able to help is welcome to use and test it once it gets off the ground
Hi. Thanks, Shabir Currently, I'm still working on designing the Firefox extension, but there are a few projects in which I would use a helping hand. I've thrown together a wiki at http://www.bAlopex.org/wiki . If you're interested, you can go there and pick a project that looks interesting or fits your skills. I'm very grateful for your offer. Thank you so much for your willingness to help.
Looks nice and I would even be part of the project as a sponsor even[of course if possible] when it has its first version.
Thanks, shabbir. Since this project is just entering the initial stages of development, I'm really not sure when the first version will be released. But I'll be sure to let you know when it's ready for use . Caspian
