Facebook is leading social networking site and so majority if not all use Facebook, basically we webmasters use it for promoting our websites, articles, deals etc. In Facebook every user can share his/her expressions using comments system and in this tutorial you will learn how to integrate this comment system into your Wordpress blog so that users can give comments to your blog entry using their Facebook account and also this comments will be posted to Facebook too!

    Why Facebook comments?

Well, "Traffic" is the most vital word for every website, so you can use Facebook for generating traffic to your website. When a user comments on your blog post using Facebook account, the comment is shared to his/her Facebook profile including your website link, so not only your blog users, other Facebook users are now able to see and respond to that comment. Now in this way you can gain some extra traffic to your website. One more important thing is that, you will get the real user identities that are using Facebook to comment on blogs!

Facebook comment are not SEO friendly, because this Facebook comment loads in iframe or using JavaScript. So, search engines are unable to see those comments, but the value it can add to your blog is more than SEO.

    How to integrate Facebook comments?

Previously when I got a job from one of my client regarding this Facebook comment, I was trying to code it, but after few minutes I found a Plug-In which create this job simpler. So here I’m going to describe how to add this using a Plug-In into your wordpress blog.

First of all, download and install Facebook Comments plugin to your wordpress. Now log in to your Facebook account and go to http://developers.facebook.com/setup/ give your website url with a slash, that is
    Code:
    http://www.your-site.com/
    and click Create Application.

Follow the onscreen prompts and click finish. After that you will get two items, one is Application ID and another is API. Note those two things. Now get back to wordpress and activate the installed Facebook Comments plugin, and then go to
In the Application ID field, put the application ID you got while creating the application, click Update Options. Now, you are set with Facebook Comments for your blog!

You can administrate the comments too, to administrate (such as to add moderators, administrators to comments), simply login to your Facebook account and then open any of your blog entry. An “Administer Comments” link will appear just below the comment box. Click on that link and do the administration jobs!

You can check Facebook comments on my blog money9.net to see how it’s working. If you have any questions, simply reply to this article! If you want to add this Facebook Comment box to any other websites, then simply visit http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/198 for complete scripts!

One more update, if you have some previously installed Facebook plug in then Facebook Comments will not work. So to solve this problem simply UNTICK
option from Facebook Comments control panel. Refer to the screen shot for more clarification!

Yeah, I don't know. People usually say :”Seeing is believing.”
Each attempt has a corresponding gain, in part or obvious, or vague. At least we have the kind of satisfaction After I bought. Every time I keep considering switching my personal blog from Friend Connect to FB Connect, I look at a how to and determine that I just don't have the time to do it.
